How do I change PWD2

Thanks

I always look up the SCH messages so others don't need to. SCH1605 says "Failed to access the account database, password change aborted. Please try again" Something sounds broken.

I would try to REQ PRT the passwords to see if it can see any of them.

GHTROUT I did read the SCH message but forgot to post sorry about that.

This morning I change PSWD_COMP to OFF in LD 17 and was able to do the changes that I had to do.

Should I leave PSWD_COMP as OFF or should it be ON. When PSWD_COMP is ON and I go to LD 22 and prt pwd it shows USER_NAMES as **INSECURE** but with PSWD_COMP OFF and I do a prt the word **INSECURE** does not appear.

I'm leaving it OFF......???????? What would be the most secure ON or OFF?????????????

Once again thanks for all your help.....

I looked it up in the book and this is what I found. PSWD_COMP checks for these to consider a password "secure".

• password contains a combination of at
least eight alphanumeric characters, of the
following type:
— lowercase alphabetic
— uppercase alphabetic
— numeric
• password does not contain the user ID or a
portion of the user ID, in normal or reverse
form
• password does not contain three or more
letters in forward or reverse alphabetic
sequence, ASCII sequence, or keyboard
(QWERTY) sequence
• password does not contain three or more
consecutive characters
• password does not match the default
password

Personally, I set it to OFF. What is secure is a choice only you can make.
