IP Office 500v2 version 6. The customer has an 5621SW IP phone onsite. They would like to move it to an offsite location. In checking with ATAC I am told we can still use the built in VPN client with an IP Endpoint license. The old VPN license is no longer available and not needed. I have an IP Endpoint in the system, and there are plenty of VCMs.

I am having trouble finding instructions about how to download the VPN client into the phone, and how to set the phone up after that. All I see is 4600 and 9600 manuals. Do I follow the 4600 instructions? Do I follow the instructions for VPNRemote even though I am not using that kind of license? I see notes about modifying the 4600settings text files, but it all sounds a little vague - maybe this needs to be changed, change this if necessary...confusing. Thanks in advance.

56XX handsets are 46XX handsests knobbled to only work on the IPO (to stop ACM Users buying them at a cheaper price)

follow the 4600 guides & you should be fine

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
