Greetings,
Wondering how I could :
Identify a site visitor as being local (ie: in the same geography, city area by their logging in to a site...)

I know I've seen such geo tracking before but I'd like to be able to construct my own script or revise an existing one instead of using an outside service to provide the ID'ing...

I know AOL will be all but impossible to track since they are proxied... and some others... so how to track down a local access even if it is AOL... yeah I know.. pipe dream... but still..

Building a local only web site... not closed by membership... closed by geography..

Are there any ideas??

Thank you so much for pondering this problem.
