Hi,

I have 3com SuperStack II 3300. We have 4 VLAN's. The default VLAN with VLAN id 1 is configured for network for eg: 172.16.0.0/24, now i want to change the network to say 10.10.100.0/24.

How can do it?. When i went to the VLAN configuration and clicked edit, it is only allowing me to change the VLAN name.

Please help.

Thanks

When you change the native VLAN of the port where the switch is uplinked to, the 3COM switch will make that its' default (native) switch. You may need to reboot it for that to take effect.

Hi,

Thanks for reply. Can you please elaborate the procedure, How actually can i performed this operation i.e. i could not get when you said "Change the nativie VLAN of the port", You mean all the ports of the switch or just one, Because all the switches are connected to each other using a Matrix module and i have not used any cross-cable to link the switches.

Thanks

What does the 3COM switch uplink to? If you change to native VLAN of the device port that the 3COM switch is uplinked to, all you'll need to do is change the IP address/netmask/gateway of the 3COM switch to the new network for management via IP.
