I am running an Intranet using IIS on a Win2k Server. I am using Front Page 2000 to do the updating. I have updated a Word file and copied it to the server. I have one computer out of 50 that refuses to open the updated Word document. It keeps opening the previous version of the file. I thought, ok not a problem I will just go in to that machines browser (IE 6) and delete off line files. Well, that didn't have any effect, I still have the same problem. So I deleted cookies and cleared the history and that didn't help either. HELP! I have had this problem a couple of times on other computers in the past and deleting the temporary internet files solved it. Not this time though. Please help me get this fixed it is very important that it works right!

firstly, make sure IE is trying to get a fresh copy: go to tools --> internet options --> (Temporary Internet Files) Settings....either select "automatically" or "every visit to the page" (where it says "check for newer versions of stored pages").

shift-f5 should also do a forced-refresh and retrieve the latest copy.

if you're still having problems, try searching the hard drive of the client to find the cached file.
