CGI-scripts

I'm running RedHat 7.2 apache.1.3.22:
I looking for some help on getting cgi scripts running on my
installation of apache. I've changed the permissions on the cgi script to 755, made sure that the scriptalias line reflected the correct information, uncommented the addhandler cgi-script line. Every time I try to access the script is gives me a forbidden access error. I'm at a lost currently, I followed all the tutorials.

Do you have the 'Allow from all" directive in your cgi-bin container?
