CGI on ASIP 6.x ??

Uh...
We're running a Mac LAN here...G3 tower with 9.1 and serving using AppleShare IP 6.x

What's the CGI deal on the sserver side? I've got a valid script, am using a relative utl path to call, have created a folder <cgi-bin> one level up from the index.html file...and I'm winding up with my own 404 when submitting the form....

Cripes...where do I even start for answers to this one...
