Hiya!

I've been asked to look into setting up an online seminar booking form so people can book onto certain courses up to the seating capacity limit of 20. Then possibly post to a website with how many spaces left on each course etc. WOuld this be possible for a relative new-by and if not does anyone know of anything similar in use that i can have a look at to get some ideas.

Thanks for your time

Relatively easy to do - as long as you have access to the databases and have the PERL modules for those databases. I only mention the module thing because some hosting companies won't or can't install certain modules, and some charge an enormous horly fee for installing modules. If you own your own servers then it's not a problem.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Agreed.
However, if you don't expect enormous traffic, you could use the Perl DBI::DBD::CSV approach based on a comma delimmitted file.

'hope this helps
