Hi,

I'm new to this forum and have some major headaches with CGI scripting. I have a form set up (2 actually) for my client and I want them to be sent automatically from the html, not opening the outlook account on whatever PC they're viewing from, etc. And to do this I know I need CGI scripting. I have however, never used it before and I need it done asap so all help will be recived very gratefully!!

I basically need to know 1) How to set it up to work with my CGI-bin provided by my hoster (I also have Perl and PHP) and also how to get the file sent to my clients inbox as a nicely formatted piece of information. One of the forms also allows the user to attach their CV if that causes complications?

All help gratefully received!! And the sooner the better for my life really!! *waaaaa*

There are two faqs in the perl forum...
faq219-364 - How do I send an email using sendmail
and
faq219-1563 - How do I send email without using UNIX sendmail

Those should give a good treatment of the how-to stuff for sending email. The basics(some, anyway) of cgi form stuff are covered in faq452-653.

You might take a look at those a come back with any questions.

'hope this helps
