CGI app question

I am running apache 1.3.27. I have a cgi app that is accessed by going to

http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/app.

What I would like is to be able to just go to

http://www.mydomain.com

to access the app and have it run. Can someone tell me how to do this? Do i need to use mod_rewrite?

You would have to enable CGI applications throughout your site (done with [tt]AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl[/tt]) and add [tt]index.cgi[/tt] to your [tt]DicrectoryIndex[/tt] directive. Move the file to your webroot and name it [tt]index.cgi[/tt]. That should do it.
