Is it possible on a 200ICP to have an DID extension 2XX CFW always to another extension 3XX and then have the call forwarded to Ext. 3XX's VM Box? Not using EM but an ONS integration unit from Callware.

Have a customer with people retiring and office consolidation that want the incoming calls to go to a specific phone but leave a couple of units in the office for dial out purposes.

Do I have to change the extension numbers on the existing phones and then program the affected extension as a logical line on the "go to" phone for this to work?

I suspect that I am exceeding the 2 hops for forwarding but not sure why? A incoming DID call is not considered a forward and then having it CFWA to another extension is 1 hop, CFNA for that extension to VM would hop 2, right?

The simplest method for this scenario is to leave the original extension as is and forward to an new speedcall for VM integration. As this is an ONS VM, the phones will forward to voicemail via a common speedcall. The speedcall will be an entry such as

[vm access code][*9][vm integration digits][*6]
[tt]
[vm access code] - Access code for voicemail hunt group
[*9] - Wait 1 second before dialing
[vm integration digits] - Digits required by voicemail to deliver message
[*6] - send Extension number of forwarded station[/tt]

You will need to create a new speedial that replaces *6 with 3XX. then forward the affected extensions to this speedcall instead of the other (Still using Busy no answer forwarding, not always).

Last step is to program key appearances of the phones on the station that needs to answer.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Kwb,

Thanks, I forgot about the SC with the *6. Set up a new one and it works like a champ.
