Ok, I just reviewed a previous thread regarding CFW functionality and I think I understand why I cannot get CFW to work on some phones on a system I inherited as part of an aquisition this year.

Here is the scenario:

1. CFW does not work on 4 phones
2. all 4 phones are part of an ACD so key 0 is the ACD key
3. the DN is on key 1
(up to this point this is the same configuration I have at another location where CFW works)

4. this system uses a 3rd party VM system called Calais
5. the Calais system emulates 2616 sets for interaction with the Option 11
6. in order for the VM system to "know" when a user is on a call it must have the user's DN set up as an SCN on a key on the VM "set" (no physical phone just a 2616 definition in LD 11.

I believe that because of the SCN of the DNs on the VM set and because they are on key 1 of the real phones, they will not follow CFW on the real phone. BTW CFNA and CFB do work correctly.

So here is the question. How do I get the CFW to work on these phones without disabling the VM functionality? It is my understanding that the ACD key must be on key 0.

Does anyone have any experience with Calais? (We use mermail at our other locations.)

Thanks for any help!

Mike

I have used a work around that you could try.

Build a phone on data port and assign number on key 0 with FNA and hunt to voice mail (or wherever you intend it to go) and scpw set

then use remote call forward to set Call Forward all
