how quickly i forget, former PBX tech forgets the simplest commands. i have been out of the PBXs for a while and cannot remember how to forward an analog set to an external number. it is a local call.

any help is appreciated!

ok, now the customer has decided that this is a permenant setup and that the phones need to be removed. i am trying to use phantoms to cfw the lines but everytime my test calls hit the system i get an error message that the line i am calling has been disconected. they are known working lines and i tested them before i changed them to phantoms. i also get a released message from the pbx stating "unassigned number". any ideas on where i am going wrong?

Thank you

So, this worked prior to changing them to Phantoms? In other words, when you Call Forwarded the physical phone (when it existed) the calls went where you intended?

Then you OUTed the physical TN and rebuilt a new "Phantom" TN with the same NCOS as the physical TNs, plus CLS CFXA and FTR DCFW n xxxxxx - and at this point things stopped working?

If that is the case, then print one of the Phantom TNs out and paste it here.

Let's also make sure we are using Phantom TN in the same context. A Phantom TN is a 500 type TN built in a loop specifically defined as "Phantom" and must have the FTR DCFW n xxxxxx

Alternatively, you can build these DNs as ACD Queues with MAXP=1 and NCFW=the phone number where you want the calls forwarded.

Not exactly, i am offsite and the customer never cfw the lines. they were working lines when i changed their dn (didnt want to remove until i was sure it would work) then i used that DN on the new phontom. i am def using Phantoms, they are 156 0 11 0. sorry i cannot pull the TNB at this time but will paste asap. i set the NCOS to 6, the TGAR to 1, and i did set FTR DCFW 16 XXXXXXX.

oh wow, it has been a while, what load do i chang the rdr_data / OPT in?

No, you can only have one or the other. They cancel each other out. CFF means the TN that is Call Forwarded is what controls the call restriction. CFO (generally) means the trunk's class of service is in charge of the restrictions.

If I were you, I would just add the DNs as ACD queues to see if that solved the problem. See my post of 2 Feb 09 22:19

RDR is hanged in LD15 if you want to experiment. Just NEVER type the word "yes" at OPT. At OPT, just enter the mnemonic of the feature you want to activate or deactivate. Typing "yes" is the same as typing "xdp" which turns off the Console's display.

thanks! i will look at that post. btw, i have used your website in the past and your notes have been a great help.

I cannot find that thread, if you could post the link that would be great

thanks

this is not going well, ci remember doing this in the past now that you mention it (the ACD) but now i get SCH0430 invalid DN when i enter the number to forward to. sorry to be such a pain.

it seems that it will only allow me to ncfw 4 digits

Are you preceding the number with the "9" or the route ACOD?

War Eagle!!

no, just the 7 digit number i am forwarding to. they do not dial 9 for outside lines. i may as well ask now, how do i find my ACOD if needed?

How do they dial outside the system?

To determine the route ACOD:
LD 21
REQ: PRT
TYPE: RDB
CUST: 0
ROUTE: xx (the route number you are trying to get calls to go out)

Look for the number next to ACOD

War Eagle!!

thank you so much. all is now working. i greatly appreciate you help on this.
