I'm running CF8 on IIS6. I am attempting to run the "Cumulative Hot Fix 4 for ColdFusion 8.0.1" found on . I did the part about installing the chf8010004.jar file with no problem. When I tried to do the cfmx_bootstrap.jar upgrade I received 500 errors on all my CF sites when I restarted CF services. When I reverted to the previous copy of the file, everything started working again. What does cfmx_bootstrap.jar do, and does anyone have any ideas as to why it was causing a problem?
