with reference to your question regarding the updation of cfgrid you can open the help in coldfusion and enter the word "cfgrid" in the find option and select the subtitle "creating an updateable grid" which will give you complete information about how to delete, insert and update the grid once you have used it to display the records retrieved form the database.
