anyone met it and knows how to "eat" it?

# cfgmgr
Method error (/usr/lib/methods/scsimap >> /var/adm/essmap.out):
0514-023 The specified device does not exist in the
customized device configuration database.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Get rid of it by deinstalling a fileset: ibmpfe.essutil.scsi.data

You have an ESS or DS6k/DS8k connected by FC/SAN

The lssdd/lsess/.. toolset knows about FC or SCSI connections to the SAN server. You obviously do not have SCSI connections to the ESS.
