Attempting to use CFCONTENT to protect files from dir url access. However, the documents (pdf, html, docs) contain links to other files in same dir as primary file... how do I stop dir url access to those files... Do I need another approach. Currently authenticate user against db using login.cfm/application.cfm, on Win NT, using APACHE webserver.

ANY suggestions?

Hey Ang,

If your code using the <cfcontent> tag is in one directory and the protected files are in another, I would expect the links to then point to the directory where the cf code resides. This would obviously cause the links to not work and protect the documents from direct url access.

Let me know if this doesn't work for you,
GJ

yes, the primary document is displayed. A link within that document pts to file in same directory. I want the authenticated users to use the link and view that second document. I don't want them to save the url of the second document and go directly there outside of cf app, and without going to primary document first...

any suggestions?
