Is their a command to have cfa lite on when call foward all on DID,thanks.

Are you referring to split call forwarding and on what type of phone?

We have a 2000IPS using series E phones,I have a client that wants to call forward all her DID line but wants to be able to see the CFA light on her phone lit to remind her to take call forward all off, thanks. Her ext. works fine with CFA on.

I already have a button programmed for that , the ext. works fine on CFA , it's the DID CFA that does not lite up , thanks.

Not sure what a DID CFA key is is.
Can you confirm what is assigned under this feature key?
Or is this a softkey from the Dterm display?

I have a button already programmed for call forward all and when the client sets their extension for call foward all the cfa light lites up red. When the client sets call forward all on the DID ( outside line ) the cfa light does not lite up.

Is the DID ( outside line ) appear on a virtual or trunk line.

Wayne50,

I just tried what you are talking about and was not able to lamp a CFA Button. I tried a virtual and a phantom dterm no lamp. I did a PDF search for forward and did not see anything that might relate to this.

I guess its up to NTAC. Let us know what you find.

The CFA key will only light for the prime of a dterm. I don't believe there is a way to give any visual indication for a line appearance being call forwarded.

If you do not need to indicate the prime line when it is forwarding only the virtual, swap the virtual with the prime line.

For example: let us say that the prime is 200 and the virtual is 300. Program as follows:

Check all the programming i.e. CF (CME6), buttons (CM9000)

10>000:200 ccc
11>000:300 ccc

and now:

10>000:300
11>000:200

Make sure now that the DID i.e. 5555 is still going to 300 as before.

Wahlah. Now when you forward, your display will show the forwarding.

Note that there may be issues if you have custom programming in command 12 and 13. You may want to list it out first.

By the way, creative feaures like this is nice but a great headache. If the system was not designed to do it, you will always have a side effect. I.e. which line is the automatic pick up line? is the person in any groups? will the voicemail light light (you will need to change the light for mailbox 200 to light ext 300 now)

After second thought, the BEST answer is as OzzieGeorge and Mextra advised you: this is not a feature that is offered in the IVS/IPS as far as we can tell.

If you need to be qute and have good knowledge of the system, you should be able to iron out most but not all of the side effects with the solution above.
