cf server error

I received the following error during the use of cffile upload. It used to work fine, now all of a sudden it started with this error:



Error Occurred While Processing Request





Error Diagnostic Information



Request canceled or ignored by serverServer busy or unable to fulfill

request. The server is unable to fulfill your request due to extremely high

traffic or an unexpected internal error. Please attempt your request again

(if you are repeatedly unsuccessful you should notify the site

administrator). (Location Code: 26)



Any idea why it would start now?





By the way, when i first hit the "Submit Post" button, I recieved the same error that I just described.



(Possible explanation... solar flares or sunspots?? I have seen this on three other cf websites today.)

Hi,

This is the most important sentence from the error:
The server is unable to fulfill your request due to extremely high traffic

This means that the server can't process the request, most likely because traffic speed is so low that certain internal timeouts have passed.

So, it seems to me that you should reload the page when you get an error like that. Thus the request will be posted again. If the problem is persistent, you might wanna move to a more powerfull server.

But usually the problem will be resolved after one or more new attempts.

Sure hope it does.

How large is the file? Also, what speed is the connection on the server? Is this on your local network?

Does this error happen on any other pages?

I figured out the problem. duuuuuuh. My hard drive was full on my server. There was no room for the file.

As one of my college professors said in admitting a mistake....

Please do not laugh as I turn and walk away with my tail between my legs...

It is funnier to hear than to read..
