Hi all,
I have been waiting to see if cf 5/windows proved to be stable before upgrading.
Has anyone found any major problems/instabilities with it?
Anything I should know about?

thanks,

hi TechDude

Ive experienced only one major issue while using CF 5.0 on my brand new XP box. Every time I boot, ntConsoleJava, a process apparantly related to my web server is running twice. I was doing this every time I boot:

Task manager> processes> and look for the process takingup 99% of my CPU time, and kill that process.

This was corrected by following Macromedia's instructions on:

The issue is described as "Management Logs Can Cause High CPU Utilization" I downloaded the HotFix, shut down my web server and CF application server, replaced some JAR files in my C:\CFUSION\jrun\servers\cfam\lib directory, and rebooted the machine.

hope this helps. other than that issue, ive found none.

Ok, update: The hot fix didn't solve anything for strantheman.

Shut down web site, and CF. Then I copied adminagent.jar, caapp_ejb.jar, caregistry_ejb.jar, and commonadmin.jar to the proper directories. Restart my computer, CF and web server auto start, and the same ntConsoleJava process is active twice... again!

: / id call that a significant problem for XP at least. dont know what im going to do about it. note the second shot was taken while opening photoshop... :) opens very slowly for some odd reason. :)

We are having the same problem, did you find a solution to this problem?
