any tips and inputs about the certification. i'm trying to take the aix 5.3 system support and admin certification. i already passed the V4R3 but for system support level only. Just asking if anyone have successfully passed the exam.
I passed my IBM Certified Specialist - AIX exam about 2 years ago mate, best bit of advise is to read the Redbooks on System Administration, Performance Tunning and Backup and Restore.
i did pass the exam couple of weeks ago. since v4r3, you are in this platform and i am sure it will be easy for you.
for your additional info: sample test is available on IBM website. i took this sample exam and got some idea about the actual exam and that helped a lot. if you are interested in taking sample exam..just pay $10 and get sample test from ibm site.
I'm too thinking about taking test 222. From what I have read the pre-requisites require you to have so many months/years of AIX exposure. Seemingly I have been working with AIX 4.3.3, 5.2 & 5.3 for over 4 years I hope this qualifies me to taking the test.
Quick question to those who have taken the test. Is the test mainly built up on multiple choice questions? A bit like how Microsoft do theirs?
