Hi all - I'm currently working as a mid-tier web developer, but really want to move into coding internet applications in Java. I've lots of experience in scripting ASP, PHP et al, and working with COM objects, and have some Perl/ general OOP experience too.
I've been looking at the Oracle training & certification, but am very wary of getting trained up , certified and then having no luck getting a job because of having no 'real' programming experience. Should I just go for it?
