Certification Initials - what's the standard?

I have recently obtained my MCP status for Windows 2000. However, I also have a MCSE on the 4.0 track. Although the MCSE 4.0 is not yet retired and the MCP for Windows 2000 does not directly corelated to my previouse MCSE 4.0 cert - what the heck do I put for my certification initials after my name? Does Microsoft have an "initial etiquette?"

As of now I put them both. But, I just thought I would try to be correct (if there is such a thing).

Thanks for any comments!

Until the NT 4 track is retired KEEP putting the MCSE on your resume FOLLOWED by your new MCP. As long as it is valid include it. Now once the Track is fully retired you cannot put the MCSE on your resume for NT4 BUT, you can mention in your resume that you were certified in NT4. James Collins

I know the cert is retiring... but there is a certain tendency to want to refer to the older one as MCSE 4 and the newer one as MCSE 2K...

OTOH, maybe I don't want to look like I'm clinging to the past, along with all of its baggage...

It's too bad MS decided to retire the certification...

Now maybe I need to ask myself what kind of certifications Bill Gates, Michael Dell, and Ross Perot got... and whether a technical certification ties one down into the "worker class"...

D'oh!!!
