Certification Info for XI 3

I just wanted to share some info I got for XI certification.

Here is the good news: the CRCP certification will only require the passing of 2 exams, instead of 3, starting with XI. There are 4 course offerings that are basically the same as the Report Design 1,2,3,&4 courses that were offered in Crystal Reports 10. Also, if you work for a BOBJ Partner and you hold the CRCP for v10, you only have to recertify with one exam that covers new material.

The bad news is that unless you work for a BOBJ Partner, you have to retake all exams for each version.
The BECP, formerly known as the CECP, is still 3 exams. Again, if you hold the CECP and work for a partner, you can take one exam that covers new material. Non partners who hold the CECP have to take all 3 exams again.

Any idea when these exams will be ready to roll....?

Will they be the same "comment all your answers" format as the existing exams...?

Will the CRCP & CECP for 10 exams still be available to take for folks who aren't planning to migrate to XI right away...?

Not sure when they will be available to the general public. Partners have had the material and exams available for about a week now.

I took my CRCP recert exam today and passed. There were no "check all that apply" questions on that exam, only T or F, and pick one of the amsweres type. Not sure if they will do the same for the regular exams.

Will the CRCP & CECP for 10 exams still be available to take for folks who aren't planning to migrate to XI right away...?
I don't know how long the 10 exams will still be available. I don't even want to speculate on that.

Will the CECP (v10.0) certification still be good, if one does not want to re-certify for XI or is it mandatory to take BECP.

Hi

I was looking into doing my CRCP (I have already done Crystal report design i, ii, iii, IV). But now wanted to do one of the 3 electives for example 2, and maybe one course in the 3rd section. You mentioned that there will in future be 2 exams. Abd that the 4 Crystal Report Development courses are basically unchanged. How is the rest of the Certification path affected thouhg.
