cerating a record with data from another table

Hi, i'm new at VBA so this may seem like a stupid question:

i have a form of table A open. Now when I press a button, i'd like to take some data from table A, and save it in a new record in table B.
An example to make things clearer:

Form of table A contains: name, number, length, width

I only want to save number and length to a new record in table B.

Can someone help me?
