Hi,

I may have an issue with a cept formatter card, and was wondering if anyone had seen something similar before, although the problem could be with the DPNSS link.

We couldn't send any voice over the link, and we logged a fault with our circuit provider. As a precaution, we busied out the cept formatter card, and returned it to service. When we check the state of the slot now, it shows as "unassigned". Would this indicate that the card is faulty?

Thanks

Issue the "LOAD" command against the card slot. Example, if the formatter card is located in cabinet 4 slot 1, then execute the command LOAD 4 1 (note spacing) - wait several minutes, i.e., 2~3 mins then use your stat command again.

If still "unassigned" then issue the CONFIG LONG command to see what's programmed there CONFIG LONG 4 1 (or wherever the card actually is) The resulting display format will be two lines long, showing the "programmed card" and the "installed" card - both lines should read identical, showing what's programmed and what's installed.
