Centrex Transfer on Messaging 7.0

I have never done this before, but see the directions on how to do it.
First thing is you need to have the number the caller is coming in on set as a centrex line from the CO.
Then in the menu of the messaging you choose option 7 then enter the centrx number to transfer to.
Do you have to place a 9 and a * in front of the centrex number to allow the voicemail to grab another line?
It can't be that easy.
 
no 9 (except if you need that for every call on the line) because it does not dial out it uses the CO's direct access after the flash signal.
Also no * because you don't need a pause
