We currently have CMS 15 but upgraded CentreVu Supervisor from 15 to 16.3 on some of our laptops because it is compatible with Windows 7. We are having issues with it working under some Windows logins but not others. Does anyone know what the specs are as far as folder permissions? When some people are logged into Windows and we try to connect the CentreVu Supervisor software, it just sits at the "initializing" screen and then eventually comes up saying it can't connect to the server. Yet under other logins, it connects.

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you using IP addresses or hostnames to connect to the CMS?

Kevin

If you are talking about when you go into CMS Servers within CMS Supervisor, we use IP Addresses.

If it is hanging on initializing then it is normally because the cache file is locked.

Often it is down to rogue components of CMS Supervisor still running after CMS has been shutdown, but it in your case it could be that the user doesn't have permissions for that folder or file.

Forgive my ignorance but is the cache file called CVS.Cache.tmp?
