I need to provide voicemail from a central site running Legend 7.0 with Audix and a tie line to a small office with a Nortel system.

We would like the Nortel to use the voicemail at the Legend site and have it send call calls to 2770 (VMS number) and get the standard Audix mailbox. Despite creating mailboxes for the users, we cannot get Audix to answer with the user's mailbox.

I tried to go to Group Calling and adding the tie extensions from the UDP extensions but they are not listed. However UDP calling is working both ways between both switches.

Any ideas?

Audix uses "mode codes" to signal between the switch and the VMS. Chances are, the nortel switch isn't sending what Audix wants. The Audix is probably able to answer, but doesn't know the extension information, which is sent by the mode codes. You're going to have to get the Nortel to send the same mode codes as a Legend or Definity would to get it to work.
