We are running ipo 8.1 with VMPro to match. We have 1 central site with 2 distributed sites. (about to add a 3rd as well)

I've run into the issue of needing to restart services 2 times a week to keep things in order. When I go for more than a week +/- the voicemails seem to get delayed. For example a call came in last night at 4:30PM and the user received the voicemail at 9:30 this morning.

Is this normal behavior (needing to restart services weeekly) or am I missing something?

I have created a batch file to run off a schedule, but it just seems odd that I need to do this so often.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you running VMPro on Windows or Linux OS?

if skilled enough you could use dbgview to capture all vmpro traces for review.
You could see all the interactions.

You should check all the obvious stuff like duplicate user names and extension numbers.

I have gone through and checked for duplicate usernames and extensions, our systems are all 'cookie cutter' - all have same versions across the board.

Only problem with dbgview is I would need to leave it running continuously, as it's an intermittent problem.

Thanks.

Well that is why traces can archive.
Standard practice is to archive traces until the problem recurs.

Understood... I'll let it run and archive, and report back with what I find.

Thank you.

I have seen this on 8.1, but a restart of all voicemail services and the servers on which they reside seemed to sort it out. That was months ago and not heard a peep since.

What 8.1 are you running??

8.1.63 - we will be upgrading to .73 by the end of the year.

vm delayed on the phones or via email?

My system had to get restarted (Win2012) as the emails got delivered delayed and as much as I wanted to blame the exchange server for it, we logged in the exchange and the VmPro and it was the VmPro server not sending the emails out.
Reason could be that the server was overloaded with other stuff at the time and was not able to convert the wav file fast enough to send via email immediately.
Reboot fixed it for now and I did not get any complaints any more.
