Hi!

Our Telco is upgrading from a 7 to 8 digit trunk number. We have an NS1000/tda100 integrated system using ISDN/PRI30.

How do we configure it to accomodate the 8 digit 30 channel from the telco. will all the DID numbers be affected?

The digit attachment would be on the 1st part e.g. 811-xx-xx to 8-811-xx-xx.

Any advise is very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes they will

If the ddi last 3-4 digits match mostly the extension numbers, you can run the auto configuration, and change the few different ones. You can do it from entry 200 up and have both working at the same time

Or

Export ddi to excel and use it to add 8 in front and import it back in

Hi Obtsystems,

I have not much experience with the DDI and PRI30, I see on the DDI Table the last 4 digits of our telephone number. e.g. 888-5400, the DDI list contains 5401, 5402 etc.

On which cell do I encode the digit expansion from the telco, as indicated e.g. 8-888-54XX, so the system will accept the 8 digits sent from the telco.

We are using the on-line software not the telset for programming, what menu is 200?

Again thank you for the assistance.

Hi Obtsystems,

I've attached the table on the ddi, attempted to modify but we got confused as it showed the lat extension digita only of the DID per users. Where do we attache the additional digit to be sent by the Central office on the ISDN? the starting digit is 888-57XX, the Central office will send additional digit as announced so it would be 8-888-57xx.

Hope you can help us with a step by step on this, we might corrupt the system and disable any in/out calls.

Again thank you!

It depends on how many digits your Telco is sending for the DDI.
If the number of incoming digits remains the same, then there is nothing to do

Hi Bigglesnz111,

Thanks for the information, the telco is upgrading from a 7 to an 8 digit number and the new digit would be in front, the last digits (DID extensions) will not be changed. like from 888-57600 to 8-888-57600.

As this is an ISDN, where do we modify the configuation on the NS1000 to expand the digits expansion coming from the telco.

Thanks again!
