Central European Character not shown

I am a C++ programmer, using Visual Studio 6.0 sp5, and working on translating a huge ERP programm into Croatian and Slovenian Languages.

I have change the language of my rc files to Croatian (or Slovenian) and set the code_page(1250)

Almost all special Croatian/Slovenian Characters are shown, I only have a problem with è

this character is shown as è

Can anyone explain me why this is happening and how to correct this?

Try to choose an other font what can show this character.

Do you se your letters in bitmap fonts (in Notepad, for example)? Sometimes the only way to let it function correctly is reinstalling Windows using correct national settings.
