Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help me with this problem. I'm trying to install CentOS on a new Dell Poweredge 1750 with (2) 34 Gb drives on a RAID controller.

When I run a clean install on empty drives I get this error:

kickstart.KickstartValueError: specified disk sda in partition command which does not exist
install exited abnormally

Any idea what's wrong? I also tried running the Dell Server Assistant first to configure RAID and partition the drives before I ran the CentOS/Blue Quartz install CD but got the same error?

It appears that install can't find device sda. Is there something I need to do to prepare the new Dell 1750 before running the CentOS install CD?

Thanks for any ideas!

Don

On powerup, go into the RAID BIOS and create a container, then re-run the installer. This should solve your problem.
