Centering Text

I am having trouble centering the title name in my report. Let's say the title name as 'Report Title' and I would like to find the center(x) posintion. (I know the y position is). I appreciate it if someone place the sameple code.

This is really basic stuff, amply covered in Adobe's "PostScript Language Program Design" (Green Book).
