I have read the other threads about centering text in grid boxes but I still can't figure out my problem. I have a file made by someone else with hundreds of separate colored boxes with text inside the boxes. Some of the text is not perfectly centered within its corresponding box. How can I center the text without eyeing it or setting up guides for every box? Any help would be great!

Thanks.

...usual method is to shift key select text and the box that surrounds it, then click once on the target object you need to align to...

...then in the alignment palette or top tool bar, choose horizontal and vertical alignment...

...sometimes with text, you may still have to manually adjust however...

...and having stray spaces at the end of text lines doesn't help either...

...forgot to mention, use the black arrow tool to select both objects you are alignment...
