Hi,

I need to setup my Lucent Cellpipe 50AS for use with a seperate firewall (for ease of config). I need to disable the builtin firewall - it is enabled and I dont want to have to forward each port seperately... My IP is dynamically assigned by my ISP, and I have NAT enabled on the firewall... What is the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance

If you are referring to NAT as the "builtin firewall" then you will not be able to disble this with a dynamic address assignment. The cellpipe needs to perform PPP to obtain the IP address assignment. But in order to even be able to accept a dynamic address the Cellpipe needs to run NAT.

I should add that I do not work with Lucent DSL products, but my understanding is the Cellpipe is similar in configuration to all other Lucent Pipelines. So unless there is a feature on the Cellpipe to act as a modem only I think you will not be able to disable NAT.
