I would like cell phone service available when I don't have Bell dial tone or VOIP is down. I would like to have one cell carrier to let me have one service pack with 10 phones. I would install the cell phones on a dialer and when the dial tone is dead or VOIP is down. The cell phone on a cradle would take the digits and connect the call. One small device between the Dmark and your equipment. Maybe I coule have the ablilty to have two cell phones or multi lines on the cell phone. Basic service 20 dollars with a 7 dollars charge for per new phone. "$80 a month"

Where is this?

I see were I can get my alarm system to call through a cell phone when lines are cut. I see were I can make calls (or faxes) through my cell phone and PC.

I want a small box with a dialogic board to conference in or tie's my PBX or VOIP phone with the cell phone service.

Who makes this happen? I will have to check Digg and Slashdot to see if one of those fouls (to much time on their hands) have it working yet.

Maybe just a Pipe Dream.

Tjamks - I've been trying to remember where or even if I saw telular before - but it was a welcom link.

I was in an MCI meeting a week ago and there was some new broadband wireless product... I asked "can that handle voice" They are looking into it, but if it can,. it would be a lot of channels - near a hundred. Think of disaster recovery, or "late notice" of an office opening...

ITS Telcom sells a GSM cellular gateway. I'm currenty using it in my office with my cingular chip installed for access to the GSM network. I have a Single line IP adaptor at my house that connects to my PBX atmy office for networking to my toshiba phone system at home. I have no dial tone at home so if I need to make a private call I access my celluar gateway through my IP connection that goes back to my pbx at work. Works good. Not 100 % toll quality but good enough to live with. No complaints here.
