Hello,

I have such problem with excel that I do not even know how to look solution for it :)

Problem is that I have wrote command - =IF('IX Suggestions'!$O$3=Sheet2!$B$3;$V$7;Sheet2!$V$6)&" in month"

Everything did work ok, it did show correct answer and so on.

But suddenly this commant stoped to work. Now I can see in cell same line I pasted here.
I have tried to activate line, with F2 and then pressing enter, but nothing had happened. I changed calculation mode from automatic to manul, pressed F9, changed it back, pressed calculate sheet now and so on. Nothing had happened.

Funny is that even when I delete info from this cell and will write new commant into same cell, it will also show me command as I copied previously.

Maybe someone knows why excel is doing so? What must I do, that same thing would not happen again?

If it's one cell - check if it is formatted as text. If so, made it general and reenter formula.
In case of whole sheet problem - go Tools>options>View tab, maybe 'Formulas' is ticked on.

hi

if i understand you correctly you can see the formula but not the result? if so go to tools>options>view and see if formulas is selected

this is an easy thing to activate as the shortcut key is ctrl+` (the key to the left of the 1) so, if like me you use ctrl+1 to access format cells, a simple slip of the finger can cause this 'problem'

;-)
If a man says something and there are no women there to hear him, is he still wrong? [ponder]
How do I get the best answers?

Thank you all
I got it work.

I change cell format to general and then just entered F2 and then enter or tab and got all formulas right.

But it still funny for me, that it all worked well but suddenly stopped working.

pruleone,

What version of Excel?

If it's 2007, then you'll need to click the Forumlas tab, then click the Show Formulas button.
