CE9 SMTP crashes GroupWise

It's intermittent, but frequently when I use the SMTP destination in CE9, Groupwise crashes (with a Dr. Watson error) when the email is opened. This happens whether I use the viewer URL or a file attachment or not. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?

Which version of GroupWise server and desktop client are you using?

How are you formatting the attachment (PDF, RPT, XLS, etc)?

Groupwise 6.01.

I have tried a number of different formats. I have not noticed that any one is more problematic.

(Also: the error occurs when the email header, not the attachment, is opened. The header is sometimes opened from the GW client, other times from GW Notify. The error occurs with both methods.)
