After installing CE9 and able to access the Launchpad. . . The ePortfolio link won't open. This goes the same for the Crystal Management Consle. The only page that will open is the Documentation section.

What can I check to troubleshoot this problem.

Server info:
IIS 6.0
SQL 2k
Drives C /E /F
WIN 2 k server family

the CE9 is intstalled on E: drive

thanks

What does the eportfolio link do? Errors? Etc.? Try posting specifics beyond "it doesn't work"

Did you restart the system?

Perhaps the server name is giving it grief (I've seen this in older versions), or the IIS settings are wrong.

Post what the links are pointing to.

It is trying to link to the proper page link, however, it would not display the ePortfolio page when you link from the launchpad. just hang and not open the web link. . . and I have not waited that long to see any error messages. . . maybe I should. However, it's taking a very long time

-thanks

Hi,
Can you open the ePortfolio page directly?

What about the CMC?

I believe the problem lies in the install to the E drive. I do not remember all the issues but several changes have to be made if you do not accept the default install to the C: drive since some of the crystal components will be installed to C. anyway. Check the virtual directory for "Crystal" to be sure everything is where it is supposed to be.

I agree with Chuck, go into IIS and see where the virtual directory is pointing, and then see where the files were installed, it's probably an IIS problem.

This was my second install , orignally I used most of the default install and installed it on C: Drive. I had the same problem then-- all the pages the i can open are the documentation section . Which then i thought it was because most of the IIS stuff are installed on D:Drive. and the D: Drive has the most space available.

After deleting all the files and then re-install CE9 again. I changed the location install to E: drive. However, there are still items that are strictly gets intalled on C:Drive. I don't think I can control some of those. the CE9 SQL database is on E: drive, this is becuase I changed the location drive to E: during the second install.

What should I check on my IIS to see what is missing. the web stuff for CE9 are still on C: drive.

-thanks
