Help me.. its been many moons since i had to use Crystal to serve web reports. I have existing reports being served via CE8 using a link like : <A HREF="/cgi-bin/wcscgi.exe/reports/PJL1.rpt">

i am upgrading the server, (apache web server) and thought i should upgrade CE also, in the hopes that this version will run as a service without a looping login, something i have had no success with in the past.

From what i have read so far, i should be able to serve these reports now with a url like:
However, when i try to do this, i get a save or cancel option, and no report is viewed. Do i still need to use wcscgi.exe and if so where do i find an appropriate version?

Hi Vamp

thanks... I have already run through that article, thats how i got this far. Still offering either to save or cancel..

After some further research, I have decided to uninstall and stick with CR8.5 and CE8. It really isnt worth the hassle, I am (still) working on the powers that be to Dump CR alltogether.

God I wish we could dump it too! But we've been using it for so long and have so many reports we're stuck with it, but it's always worked fine, up till 9 that is, 10 is even worse, now it's a full time job to keep it running even intermittently. Good luck, to us all!
