My CE8 installation has an Access database under a ODBCsupt folder. It had a size of over 1 gig. I compacted it, using Access, to about 500K.

Whats it for? It has already grown to 2800K in one day.

I could only fine one document on the Crystal knowledge base that even talks about it.

Thanks

That keeps track of all of the objects and instances of Reports in CE (mongst other things).

I think that at around 1 gig it will often fail, so watch it.

Most people use the SQL Server engine these days (default), or connect to theire preferred big kid database such as Oracle.

Here's a whitepaper that should help:

This speaks of setting up a new CE database, don't use this now unless you want to reload all objects or intend to migrate them from Access <full body shudder>
