ce8.5, export to excel issue

hi,
Not sure whether something is missing on choosing format in CE8.5. from cmc--> folder -- format

when i choose Excel format, i'm only allow to check on

1. Export report header only allow to choose and
2. Tabular format

Unlike the export option in CR 8.5 it does not allow me to choose from

Column width based on the : whole report,report header, report footer etc

As the output requirement must be for excel i'm quite exhausted getting the right alignment from CE8.5 export to unmanaged disk.

can someone out there shade some light whether there's any patch for this. thanking u in advance

The export from the viewers is to Excel 5. You loose a lot of options there (and get some errors). I haven't yet looked at changing which version of Excel it auto chooses yet, but will be when I have some spare time...

I have a couple errors, esp with subreports, using Excel 5.0.

The best suggestion that I can give to get the report to export and look right is to use guidelines for start/end of field along with "font" level. Doing this, most of my reports export fairly well.
