CE8.5 Email -Can you use Outlook Address Book

Using CR/CE8.5. Need to schedule (email) reports. Users are complaining that they have to manually type in all email addresses. Have suggested mailing groups but they want to know if you can bring up and use the outlook address box? Also, I was reading some previous questions/answers and want to make sure I understand. You have to put in your complete email address in the FROM: field or it is thought your spam blocker might catch it?

Since CE is a Browser based app, I think that you'd have to code for Outlook address checking yourself. Previous versions (Crystal Info) only supported MAPI so it leveraged the Outlook address lookup.

And I would suggest that you type in the full email address, though I've had some fun emailing reports from the CEO to some Managers with a nastygram as the text

"What is with these numbers, Johnson? Meet me in conference room 1203 at 6AM on Saturday!!!

Well, you get the idea...

APOS has a 3rd party tool for CE 9 & 10 called AddressBook Gateway that ties to Exchange/Outlook.

I've not tested it yet, because my current client uses GroupWise - check it out to see if it's OK for CE 8.5
