Hi all,

has anyone got a good link or a PDF detailing the what you currently get in CE10 compared to what you get in BOEXI. I've seen them around for Crystal Reports but can't find one for Enterprise, the only PDF I can find for Enterprise just literally details whats new in BOEXI and not a comparison list.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

-Steve

Hi,
Comparisons are usually between competing products ( or various flavors of the same product - Like CR Standard, Profesional and Developer) and not between an update and its predecessor;that's when the 'New Features' method is used to show why you should move to the newer version...

As a CE developer the main change that affects me is the non-support of .csp files - all custom pages are now to be .asp only and, in our shop, all access to CE is through custom pages.
Otherwise, I have been able to move my existing CE10 reports and custom pages to the new BOEXI system without any code changes ( just a renaming of the .csp files and a check to be sure the correct language meta-tag is in place - by default .asp uses VBScript, while .csp used Javascript)..

Ther are other significant changes in the look/feel of InfoView ( the replacement for ePortfolio)( which many have indicated is not an improvement) and in the use of .net methods for most Business Objects' developed pages.
