Hi,

I am using CE10, I have scheduled a report to run, but email out the report to a user in a WORD document, this works fine. If I want to view the report in Enterprise the format is stored as a word document, when I click the link to open the report up I get no options to print the report off, eg I get no viewer, just a window with tab marks at the top.

HELP!!!!!, I need to print these off.

I am having a similar problem but get an actual error message; something like 'not supported'.
I have been able to print these out via the Crystal Management Console, but not via the out of the box user interface so far.

Regarding my first post, I do get the report to appear, but I get no top menu bar with option to do anything.

Hi Guys,

This sounds similar to an excel issue I had.

I resolved it by doing the following. Perhaps the same "fix" would apply to word. Just swap from XLS to DOC.

In Crystal Enterprise (CE), when viewing instances scheduled to Microsoft Excel, you notice that the instances open in Internet Explorer (IE) rather than Excel and that none of the Excel menus or toolbars are available.

Why does the instance open in IE instead of Excel?
Solution
The instance opens in IE instead of Excel because of a setting in 'Windows Explorer'.

To change this setting, complete the following steps:

====================
NOTE:

The following procedure is written for a Windows 2000 operating system however it applies to other Windows operating systems. If the procedure is different for your operating system, see the online help by pressing the F1 key.
====================

1. In 'Windows Explorer', click 'Folder Options' on the 'Tools' menu.

2. Click the 'File Types' tab and then click "XLS Microsoft Excel Worksheet" from the list of registered file types. XLS is near the bottom of this list.

3. Click the 'Advanced' button.

4. Clear the 'Browse in same window' check box and click 'OK'.

Now when you view Excel instances, they open in Excel with the expected Excel menus and toolbars.

Nuffsaid.
