Have set up a sqlserver empty database called CEAuditData. Have set up Audit datasource in CMS and restarted - (although didn't give option to use system odbc, just user and file).

still getting this message: Auditing information is not being written to the auditing database. Please verify that the auditing data source is properly configured on the CMS.
Auditing is enabled.

Anyone know what is happening??

Cheers

Hi,
Be sure the ODBC DSN on the CE Server is set correctly and be sure that the services can access the database -you may need to run them under a domain account that has the needed rights..

( You could also try creating the audit table(s) n the same database you use for the CMS, since that obviously is 'known' by CE..

If you are running a multi-server cluster for your CE-10 environment, there are known issues with Auditing which I don't belive BO has resolved yet.

If you are running stand-alone, then Turkbear's suggestion is a good one.

For some bizarre reason you have to use SQL Server authentication for the Audit database, where as you can use Windows authentication for CMS.

Change SQL Server to Mixed Mode authentication, then create your DSN with a SQL username/password and all will work.

Don't blame the messenger!
