Using CR10 and Sql database, I have two reports that use the identical stored procedure. Both reports run flawlessly on users computers. But the CE10 scheduled reports are performing differently. Both are scheduled to run daily at 7:00 am, both reports are emailed.

The email burst from Report A - no problem
The email burst from Report B - fails with Not enough memory for operation.

All service packs are updated.

The only differance between these two reports are the 12 hour shifts they represent. Parameters are built into the stored procedure and the reports run under 3 seconds.

There is nothing out of the ordinary in the event viewer on the report server, and the temp directory is far from full.

Any assistance appreciated :)

J.

Odd one...

What happens if you schedule Report B to run now?

I have had rare occasions when deleting a report and publishing it again solved problems, thsi sounds like a candidate for this.

Deleted the report from the console, then readded in and ran an immediate instance.

Well...at least the error changed :)

Error detected by export DLL: . File C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Enterprise 10\Data\procSched\agcreportsvr.reportjobserver\~tmp8783f679ea4d70.rpt.

So, searching these forums for that particular instance and any commonality.

A bit more informative.

Try going into the report in Crystal Reports and doing a database->verify database. If it only says that the database is up to date, as op[posed to making any changes, then you're done, however if it states that a difference was found, you'll need to save it after the changes, and then republish.

It sounds like you ran an immediate export, what happens if you just run an immediate execution in Crystal format?

Back into the office, sorry for the delay in responding.

Verified the database, database is up to date. Executed the report in Crystal format, then tried to do a manual export to pdf.

Getting a failure to export.
Thank you for pointing that out, I wasn't taking the next step to trying to manually export.

I am going to make a back up copy of this report, copy the report that is working, and adjust that one's parameters to mimic this obstinate one. Hopefully whatever is fudged up will nicely disappear.

Thanks again for all your help :)

Found it,

The page number field in this report was a non standard font, the same field in the cousin report was Arial. Changed to Arial, export worked.

After doing some more research I see that the have upgraded the error messages to be a tad bit more detailed in this circumstance in XI.

What’s New in Crystal Reports XI for
... to PDF when the report contains non-exportable fonts (ie non-TrueType fonts) • System
out of memory, out of disk space for temporary files: ‘Export failed. ...
