I've created a report that uses an Excel spreadsheet as a datasource. This works fine on my PC with Crystal Reports. However, when I try to schedule or view the report in CE, I get the error: "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect.".

I originally created the report with the excel file on my C drive. I've copied the excel file to the server and the database maappings in CMC to point to that local server drive.

I can run the report on the server in CR.

I know that this error can be generated if the page & report job servers are not using an admin id but in this case they are.

Anyone have any suggestions/ideas? THANKS

Try using the UNC as opposed to the drive mapping, as in:

//machinename/path...

This way you can generate the report on any development machine and place any file based tables on any shared drive.
