in which shelf does a CE power supply go in? what does it power? thanks

It goes in the CE shelf and powers the CE equip.

Again, I should've been more specific. I am a software programmer, so I am not terribly familiar with hardware. Assuming CE means Common Equipment, what is common equipment as opposed to Peripheral Equipment? And I assume the CE power supply goes into the slot on the LEFT?

CE means common equipment I.E. a network shelf, cpu shelf, or Mer Mail. It goes into the CE Power supply slot on the very left side of the CE shelves.
